we are each other’s business:
we are each other’s magnitude and bond.”

Therapy

I have deep appreciation for people at the margins and intersections of life, and promise to honor your truth and identity in every way that I can. It is not surprising that living with oppression, ancestral trauma, and late stage capitalism bring a host of both personal and systemic challenges. Our work will focus on what is most important to you using consent, your thoughts and physical sensations, talking, not talking, and maybe some memes.

Consultation

Supporting therapists to align their practices with their values, and to hone their ability to trust both themselves and their clients is one of my great joys. Topics and populations I am trained to consult about include: narrative therapy, polyvagal theory, transgender identities, queerness, nonmonogamy, kink, and social justice including antiracism, fat liberation, ally/accompliceship and more.

 Practice Building

Starting a new private practice can feel like jumping off a cliff, blindfolded. You may have values concerns: Does starting a private practice mean giving up my commitments to accessibility and social justice? Or more practical questions: How do I structure my business? Will I make enough money? What’s the best way to market myself? How do I get on an insurance panel? Wherever you are in the process, I can help you grow your business in alignment with your values.

Services to individuals in Massachusetts are available via telehealth only. Services to individuals in Minnesota may take place online or in person by prior agreement.

“It is always a good time to get free. It is always a good time to free others. When we are on the edge of uncertainty we can make choices that are guided by fear or start to shape the reality toward freedom and liberation for all of us. Those who care for each other and for themselves are taking a risk in the world we currently live in. Care is risky and worth it.”

gender, sexuality, kink, nonmonogamy

You are looking for a space to bring all the parts of yourself. There is something more nuanced, more complex—more you—than the boxes you have been cramming yourself into. I am deeply informed about gender, sexuality, kink, nonmonogamy, and all their many intersections. I am also continually surprised, overjoyed and open to the many ways people define these words and experiences for themselves. Let’s unpack the boxes, and create a space just for you.

becoming a parent, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting

There is infinite complexity in becoming a parent, in longing to become a parent, in choosing not to, in being unable to, in carrying or not carrying, in feeling differently than your partner(s) about when, how, or why to change your family size. Wherever you are on this path, I will meet you with open-heartedness, curiosity and care.

social justice, healing work, activism

You spend much of your time and energy supporting transformation, growth and recovery in others - your family, your community, your world. Many of us learned early to put others’ needs before our own, and to find safety by ensuring the people around us were okay. While these commitments and connections are necessary and life-giving, sustaining them is no small feat! Together, we will explore the complexities of caring and being cared for, and the nourishment and growth that is possible when we can do both whole-heartedly (and be clear about which is which).
